Dr. Jacek (Jack) Kura began his study of Physical Therapy at the Academy of Physical Education, Krakow, Poland. He graduated with a Masters of Physical Therapy in 2000. During his studies of Physical Therapy he concentrated on evaluation and treatment of adolescent faulty postures, mainly scoliosis. He was involved in scientific research using computerized faulty posture evaluation and management.
In August 2000 Dr. Kura moved to the US and by early 2001 he started working at the Sportscare PT Institute in West Orange, NJ. He was involved in the rehab treatment of a baseball team – the Newark Bears. He co-treated post-surgical patients; primarily knee/hip replacements, rotator cuff repairs, ACL repairs, etc.
In 2002 Dr. Kura enrolled in the Doctor of Chiropractic program at New York Chiropractic College (NYCC).
In 2003 he also enrolled in the Masters of Science of Acupuncture program at NYCC. During his studies at NYCC he traveled to China to get first hand experience in Oriental Medicine at the Zeijang Hospital. Dr. Kura has a special interest in treating various musculoskeletal problems using conventional and alternative therapies.
